The Syndrome
a palate cleanser
Does the fear of medical malpractice lawsuits compromise the care provided to today's patients? Dr. Wut covers all of his bases when Mrs. Sikley comes to him for a diagnosis.
Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA
One-Act Play Festival
May 18 - June 10, 2018
Directed by: Elizabeth Logun
Featuring: Carol Locatell and Rodney To
“‘The Syndrome’ by Elin Hampton proves to be the highlight of the evening. If you’ve ever been befuddled by an inside-jargon-speaking “expert,” you’ll love this play. The effervescent Carol Locatell plays Mrs. Sikly (get it?), whose only desire in life seems to be identifying her illness, while Rodney To as Dr. Watt delivers the gibberish-sounding prognosis. The writing of this piece makes for an especially smart and funny play.”
